Short Range Marine Weather Forecasts

These forecasts are generally issued twice daily depending on project requirements and usually comprise:

• Tabular point-time summary of wind, wave and swell conditions in 6-hourly steps for 96 hours
• Meteorological Situation, summarising the present synoptic situation and expected developments
• Tropical Advisory, detailing any threat from Tropical Disturbances or Tropical Cyclones
• Warnings, specifying any phenomena producing wind or wave conditions which may threaten offshore operations
• Graphical wind and wave charts giving visual display of point-time summary data
